Hello friends, welcome to this new entry!💙 Today, we continue with the next group of teachers!🤩 The first group of the day was Alexia, Noé, Andrés and Giselle. First, I would like to say how I liked their outfits, the fact that the girls and boys were matching the style of their shirts was a nice detail😊! This group did many things that I really liked, and since I was not in class last week, they were the first ones that I saw and they did amazing!👀 They did activities where the students needed to stand up, which was nice because it made the class more dynamic 😊 . I also noticed that during the activities, Giselle was walking around the classroom checking on the students which I thought was really great 👏🏼 , because if the students needed help she was there. And this was probably my favorite 😂 . As a wrap-up activity, they decided to play "Hot Potato" but changed the name to "Chayanne's Hot Potato" 😂  which was a nice detail since they were using one o...

Hello, welcome to this new entry! 🥳 🤩 So finally the time to teach has come 🤩 ! We have been preparing all this year to know how to teach, and we are finally putting it into practice with real-life students 🤯 😯 . Sadly, this week I was not able to go to class😭, but my classmates told me a little bit about how everything went! Diana's and Eli's group were the first ones in line! Since Diana's group was the first one they gave all of the students a name tag and did an introductory activity. I thought that this was such a great idea to get to know everyone 👆🏼 . I was really impressed when my classmates told me the number of people that came, honestly, I was expecting less but it makes me happy and excited to see everyone and also all their different ages 😁 . I really loved to see their shirts on the pictures 💗 , I think these two groups are always super creative with the outfits they come up with when teaching. Even if I wasn't able to see their class, I'm p...

Feedback and group formation🤓🧠.

Imagen
Hello, welcome to my blog!  💗 🤭 Today's entry will be kind of short because we didn't have class actually. I mean, we did😅 but we just had feedback from teacher Orlando👨🏻‍🏫. Each group had a chance to reunite with him and listen to the observations and suggestions he had for us.  My group received good feedback from the teacher, even if our class was not 100% like we expected, we did a good job overall🤩🤩. We listened to his suggestions and of course, we will be taking those into consideration. Then, we had to make different groups for the classes we will be giving our real students soon!🤩 We also got our topic, and we got listening, yay🥳! I was really excited about this because I had many ideas in mind💡. Me and my group started planning a few things, we are definitely excited but a bit nervous, so cross your fingers for us!  byeeeee 👋🏻 💛.

PDP (Pre-During-Post)

Hello there, welcome!  😄 😄 This week we talked about... PDP (Pre-During-Post)  In this class, teacher Orlando created a lesson from scratch to show us how it was done and even asked us for ideas 💡  to complete the lesson plan together. He also gave us some examples of activities we could do for the class and I was impressed by how creative the teacher was when coming up with different activities and games 🧠 . This method consists of a warm up, pre, during, post, and a wrap-up. We have talked before about what a warm-up and wrap-up are, so we are going to focus on the other new aspects 🤓 . Pre , the teacher can come up with an activity to introduce the topic this can be a listening or writting activity. This is the time where the teacher teaches all the necesary vocabulary, and important things about the topic. During , here the teacher shows the students any questions that they need to answer, and they try working on their own or even in pairs to associate they...

Grammar and Vocabulary Classes 👩🏻‍🏫🍎.

Imagen
Hello, welcome everyone! For this week's entry, I will tell you about... Grammar and Vocabulary Classes 👩🏻‍🏫🍎. We had to do kind of like a "simulation" of classes for our midterm. This is all because soon, we will start giving classes to real students 😬 . It was really funny to walk into the classroom and noticing that everyone was wearing black 😂 , this was unintentional but we definitely need to get more creative with the colors we use so it doesn't happen again haha 😅 😅.   The first group talked about Hospital Vocubulary 🚑. This was a very good topic because even though we are advanced-level students, there were many words that they taught that I had no clue about. They used different materials for their activities, crosswords, matching, and even a big hat to do that was passed around to get everyone to participate. They were also wearing matching t-shirts, which I thought was a nice detail! 💜 The second group had to teach Grammar, and they talked abou...
