Classes by groups 3 & 4💙.

 Hello friends, welcome to this new entry!💙

Today, we continue with the next group of teachers!🤩

The first group of the day was Alexia, Noé, Andrés and Giselle.


First, I would like to say how I liked their outfits, the fact that the girls and boys were matching the style of their shirts was a nice detail😊! This group did many things that I really liked, and since I was not in class last week, they were the first ones that I saw and they did amazing!👀


They did activities where the students needed to stand up, which was nice because it made the class more dynamic😊.


I also noticed that during the activities, Giselle was walking around the classroom checking on the students which I thought was really great👏🏼, because if the students needed help she was there.


And this was probably my favorite😂. As a wrap-up activity, they decided to play "Hot Potato" but changed the name to "Chayanne's Hot Potato"😂 which was a nice detail since they were using one of his songs. The class seemed to have fun and the group was very well organized. They did amazing!


The next group was Maru's group. Sadly we don't have a picture of their group all together😢, but they all looked really good with their matching purple shirts!


They did an activity where they had the students standing up, and to make them feel nervous and excited they put on a suspense background music. I thought this was very creative👌🏼.



They did a lot of standing-up activities which was great because it helped the class to be more dynamic. I really loved to see how everyone was excited to participate. Some of the students had to do a small roleplay at the end which was really fun!

Overall, both of the groups did really good! I am proud to see my classmates break out of their shells and be english teachers. byeeeee👋🏻💛.

The Grammar Translation Method ✍🏼.

 Hello! Welcome back to my blog! 🌼✨ It is nice to know that you are here after getting to know a little bit about me! But here, we officially start our English Didactics journey, exciting!🤩 The first things we are learning about are the different types of language teaching methods, and to make this a little interesting, I will be telling you a little bit about the method, how we put it in practice in my class and maybe show you some pictures or videos here and there 👀.  The first method we are talking about is (as you guessed by the title),  The Grammar Translation Method (TGTM). This method is one of the two fundamental methods out there and it's considered traditional teaching. The GTM was proposed by Professor Karl Plotz around the 19th century, and it focuses more on reading and writing skills ✍🏼 📖. Total Physical Response 🕺🏻.

 Hello! It's been a few days since the last entry🤔 Welcome back!!! 🤩 🤩 Today I'm here to tell you a little bit about what we learned in class, and honestly, it's one of the most fun methods so far, and it's called  Total Physical Response (TPR).  🏃🏻‍♀️ This method was created by James Asher, and it consists of teaching language through physical activity because the more often a memory connection is traced, the stronger the memory association and the more likely it will be remembered🧠.  For this method, we can use different tools such as different songs and the principal idea, and the use of imperatives (short commands) to indicate what the student needs to do 🗣️ 🎶 . This method is very dynamic, so it can turn the classroom really loud, but honestly, I think it's worth it haha😉.
