PDP (Pre-During-Post)

 Hello there, welcome! 😄😄

This week we talked about...PDP (Pre-During-Post)

In this class, teacher Orlando created a lesson from scratch to show us how it was done and even asked us for ideas💡 to complete the lesson plan together. He also gave us some examples of activities we could do for the class and I was impressed by how creative the teacher was when coming up with different activities and games🧠.

This method consists of a warm up, pre, during, post, and a wrap-up. We have talked before about what a warm-up and wrap-up are, so we are going to focus on the other new aspects🤓.

  • Pre, the teacher can come up with an activity to introduce the topic this can be a listening or writting activity. This is the time where the teacher teaches all the necesary vocabulary, and important things about the topic.
  • During, here the teacher shows the students any questions that they need to answer, and they try working on their own or even in pairs to associate they questions.
  • Post, this is where the extra activities come. The students should have learned about the topic in the pre and during stage, so here they can produce different oral or written activities to show what they learned.
And basically that is what we learned in today's session. This was really important to learn, because soon, we will be teaching to real students so stay tuned! byeeeee👋🏻💛.
