Presentations about Multiple Intelligences 1 & 2 🤓.
Another week, another entry! Welcome back! 👀🤩
And well, thank you so much for being here once again and reading this week's entry!🥰 I will see you around for the next one so we can talk about the rest of the multiple intelligences. byeeee!👋🏻💛.
For today, I'm going to keep talking about our last topic, which was... Multiple Intelligences 🥳🥳.
So, for this week, we had to do presentations. There were different groups and each one of them had a type of intelligence that needed to be talked about. We were asked to do a powerpoint presentation and also, make a little dynamic so the intelligence type could be put into practice in the class😮.
But sadly, something bittersweet happened to me☹️. Nathaly and I had the opportunity to go and be interpreters for a wheelchair distribution organized by JoniAndFriends. I say bittersweet because it's an amazing opportunity for us🤩, but it made me sad because I knew I was going to miss all of the presentations, and it was a topic that made me really excited😭. What a bummer. But luckily our friend Dani was able to help us out, and she sent us some pictures and mention a little bit about what they did in the presentations💗, so here's all I could get.
Because Nathaly and I were going to be missing the week of the presentations, we had the opportunity to start one week before with our topic, and it was...
Visual-spatial Intelligence🧩🤓.
It deals with spatial judgment and the ability to visualize with the mind's eye. It is basically the ability to create mental images and think in pictures and three dimensions. People with strong spatial intelligence are often artistic. There are many activities that you can do that require this type of intelligence such as, taking pictures, solving puzzles, organizing your room, etc📸.
Some of the benefits are:
- Success in solving many tasks in everyday life.
- Orienting yourself in your environment.
To put into practice this intelligence, I came up with the idea to solve a tangram, which is a traditional Chinese puzzle that consists of seven pieces called tans, that at the end form a specific figure. In this case, they needed to create a square using all the pieces. We had four groups participate in this activity🫣.
I think they all had fun, it was a very simple but complicated activity, and all of them were focused on trying to solve the puzzle, but in the end, the group of Rodri, Josh, and Abby won!🏆🏆🏆
Everyone seemed to enjoy our presentation, and teacher Orlando gave us good feedback, so I think we did great!😎 Here's a picture of my group❤️.
Logical-mathematical Intelligence🧠➕📐.
This intelligence talks about the ability to understand numbers, and reasoning to comprehend how something works🧠. This one is not based on emotions but on logic. Some activities that you can do to develop this are, logic puzzles, mind games, riddles, coding, classify objects, etc👨🏻💻.
People with this kind of intelligence often are well organized, good at problem solving and have a good connection with numbers and patterns.
Bodily-kinesthetic Intelligence🤸🏻♂️🚴🏻♀️.
Here is all about working with your body 🤸🏻♂️. People with this type of intelligence usually learn through tactile senses, prefer direct interaction with the material rather than reading information, and enjoy different types of physical activities (sports, dance, dramas, etc)🎭.
Some activities that you can do to put it into practice are, play catch, make forms, and build things.
Linguistic Intelligence✍🏼📚.
If you have this type of intelligence, you are probably good at speaking and writing, you have an easier capacity to learn a new language, and enjoy reading a lot📖. Some of the benefits of this type of intelligence are that strengthens your communication skills and enriches your vocabulary🧐.
The activities that can help you put it into practice are: reading, crossword puzzles, and listening to podcasts.
Musical Intelligence🎤🎶.
This type of intelligence is all about expressing emotions through music🎶, and recognizing sounds, rhythms and melodies. People with this type of intelligence are usually the ones to have background music when studying or come up with songs to remember something important📻.
And well, that is all the information I have for today. I really would love to be able to explain more but since I was missing that week, I don't know many details. But I'm sure all my classmates did amazing with their presentations🤩🤩🤩.
Here are also some pictures of what is actually going on in my life this week haha😅. This is me and Nathaly at the JoniAndFriends activity! 💙💙
