Multiple Intelligences 🧠.

 Hello there, good day!!🌻💚

I hope you are doing well today❤️. Today we are back once again and I bring you a topic that makes me really really reaaaallyyy excited, and that is... Multiple Intelligences💭.

The reason why I tell you that this topic makes me excited is because I already knew a little bit about it🤫. I'm someone who loves to read a lot, and some of my favorite things to read are related to psychology, so I remember a while back reading about this topic and finding it so interesting. I am also someone who loves to "categorize" things or see in which category I belong😅, for example, the zodiac signs, type of personality, love language, etc. So for sure when I first read about this, I had to take a test and see in which category I was haha😂.

So first things first, what are multiple intelligences?🤔Multiple intelligences is a theory started in 1983 by psychologist Howard Gardner. This theory suggests that human intelligence can be differentiated into different modalities and describes the different ways students learn and acquire information. When teachers know the type of intelligence of their students it helps adjust learning styles, and even suggest certain career paths for learners. Basically is a theory to remember that people learn in a variety of different ways🧏🏻‍♀️
Gardner originally proposed six intelligence types. Today, that list has grown to nine intelligences which are:

  • Naturalist Intelligence: This is about the human ability to discriminate among living things (plants, animals) as well as sensitivity to other features of the natural world🌎🌿☀️. Students with naturalist intelligence feel empathy for the environment and they’re good at organizing, separating, and classifying things.
  • Musical Intelligence: This intelligence enables us to recognize, create, reproduce, and reflect on music🎶. There is often an affective connection between music and emotions. Mathematical and musicintelligenceces may share common thinking processes. People with this kind of intelligence are usually singing or drumming to themselves🎤🥁. They are usually quite aware of sounds others may miss.
  • Logical-Mathematical Intelligence: Being able to analyze problems logically and solve abstract problems is the main idea of this intelligence. Young adults with lots of logical intelligence are interested in patterns, categories, and relationships. They are drawn to arithmetic problems, strategy games, and experiments🧠📐.
  • Existential Intelligence: This is the most recentaddedded type of intelligence, and consists on the sensitivity and capacity to ask and explore deep questions about human existence, such as the meaning of life, why we die, and how did we get here🤔💭.
  • Interpersonal Intelligence: Is the ability to understand and interact effectively with others🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🫂. It involves effective verbal and nonverbal communication. People with this kind of intelligence are usually liders, good at communicating, and seem to understand others’ feelings and motives.
  • Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence: It is all about the capacity to manipulate objects and use a variety of physical skills🤸🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️. This intelligence also involves a sense of timing and the perfection of skills through mind–body union.
  • Linguistic Intelligence: Ability to think in words and to use language to express and appreciate complex meanings. Linguistic intelligence allows us to understand the order and meaning of words and to apply meta-linguistic skills to reflect on our use of language✍🏼📚. Linguistic intelligence is the most widely shared human competence. People with this kind of intelligence enjoy writing, reading, telling stor, ies or doing crossword puzzles.
  • Intrapersonal Intelligence: Capacity to understand oneself and one’s thoughts and feelings, and to use such knowledge in planning and directioning one’s life. Intra-personal intelligence involves not only an appreciation of the self, but also of the human condition🧘🏻‍♀️💗.
  • Spatial Intelligence: Is the ability to think in three dimensions. Core capacities include mental imagery, spatial reasoning, image manipulation, graphic and artistic skills, and an active imagination🧩🤓.
So? Pretty interesting, right? I know that it might be a lot of information at once😅 but I think it is very interesting and important to know about these topics. Here's a picture on my Multiple Intelligences Wheel👀.

Honestly, I was kind of surprised with the results, but once I analyzed them it really made sense😋. I already knew that I had prethighght Linguistic Intelligence, I am someone who loves to read and write, it is my favorite thing to do, I love it so much that one of my dreams is to be a writer haha🤫🥰. I also knew that my Intrapersonal Intelligence was going to be high, because I've always enjoyed activities that help me connect with myself and all of those kinds of topics💗. And when it comes to my Mathematical Intelligence, I knew it was going to be the lowest😂, I've never been good at math and honestly I have 0 interest in it, so it makes sense😅

As I mentioned many times before, this is a very interesting topic. In the next following entries, I will explain each one a little bit more, but for today this will be it! I hope you enjoyed this topic as much as I did, and if you mind telling me, what is your intelligence type? I will be interested to know haha😁. Thank you for being here once again, take care! Bye!👋🏻💛.

Wait, before you go😶, here's some extra pictures I would love to share!🥳 These past few weeks we had our lab and midterm. The teacher had us seat in order and since I am the first one this was my seat, me and my friends thought it was funny because it reminded us to those kids that get punished at school because I was so isolated from the rest😂😂😂. Also! we got our grades back, and I was happy to see that I did good! Sadly I didn't get a 10 in the midterm all because I forgot to answer one question🙃 (I literally did not realize that I hadn't answered it🤦🏻‍♀️😂) But I am happy to see my grades and the little "Congrats!" that teacher Orlando wrote was the highlight of it all❤️, I got really excited to see it because it had been a while since I did a paper exam and got a congratulations note haha😅😂

Anyways! I just wanted to throw that in here and share it with you! So once again, byeeee👋🏻💛.
