Today's method is... Suggestopedia🥳🥳.

Yep, that's right. Remember how in my last entry I told you about teacher Orlando playing different background music? well, it was all because of this method!

This method was proposed around the 1970s by Georgi Lozanov🤓.  And it's basically a method of teaching a foreign language in which students learn quickly by feeling relaxed, interested, and positive. Lozanov also said that the affective filter was very crucial for this method. This basically consists of being good in all aspects (emotionally and physically) to be able to learn without any distractions😊😊.

As a practice for this method, we listened to different background music and we had to do different things such as, write about our last vacation, draw something that the music inspires you, and come up with a list of farm animals and then compare our list with the animals mentioned in a specific song. 💥

 Hello! Welcome back to my blog! 🌼✨ It is nice to know that you are here after getting to know a little bit about me! But here, we officially start our English Didactics journey, exciting!🤩 The first things we are learning about are the different types of language teaching methods, and to make this a little interesting, I will be telling you a little bit about the method, how we put it in practice in my class and maybe show you some pictures or videos here and there 👀.  The first method we are talking about is (as you guessed by the title),  The Grammar Translation Method (TGTM). This method is one of the two fundamental methods out there and it's considered traditional teaching. Total Physical Response 🕺🏻.

 Hello! It's been a few days since the last entry🤔 Welcome back!!! 🤩 🤩 Today I'm here to tell you a little bit about what we learned in class, and honestly, it's one of the most fun methods so far, and it's called  Total Physical Response (TPR).  🏃🏻‍♀️ This method was created by James Asher, and it consists of teaching language through physical activity because the more often a memory connection is traced, the stronger the memory association and the more likely it will be remembered🧠.  For this method, we can use different tools such as different songs and the principal idea, and the use of imperatives (short commands) to indicate what the student needs to do 🗣️ 🎶 . This method is very dynamic, so it can turn the classroom really loud, but honestly, I think it's worth it haha😉.
